Ok, mainly pictures today since I have a splint on
my right hand (weight lifting injury, I guess) and can’t really type…more plinking
than usual, lol.
Just a few short stories:
-Ashlan saw her Rapunzel shoes that
make noise when she walks and said, "I want to tap." She also
will get my heels and ask me to put them on and we follow each other around the
kitchen tapping away. :)
-We were playing hide and seek the other day and
she would count with me when it was her turn to hide. When I said,
"ok, here I come. Where are you?" She'd jump out and say,
"Here I am!" Lol.
It kind of defeats the purpose of hide and seek but it’s fun anyway.
-While brushing her teeth the other day, we found
two molars popping through on the bottom. Just two more on top and all
her baby teeth will be in.
-Ashlan figured out her door lock. It was on a week. After her nap the other day, I heard the door jingling. I was about to go in there and she was coming out of the room! She had actually disassembled the lock. It was in two pieces on the floor. I couldn't believe it- I can't even get it off that fast!
-We had a blast on Mother’s Day
weekend!! We went to Longboat Key, to the
place we (especially Dan and me: pre-baby, lol) have been numerous times before and spent many anniversaries there-
the Longboat Key Hilton. It was kind of
bittersweet because they are completely renovating it this fall and gutting the
main hotel and leveling all of the pool and restaurant areas, so it was the
last time we’ll see it before it gets completely renovated. We have so many happy memories there, but I’m
sure we’ll make more with the new one too.
:) These pictures didn't even capture 1/2 the fun we had and Ashlan was a complete angel! I am definitely thinking it will be the terrible 3's because she has really been an angel these last few months. Maybe the first year...year and a half was the hardest with her personality because she couldn't talk to us...well, I can wish anyway, can't I? Lol. Even potty training was a breeze...I can't believe she's almost 2 1/2! I don't know where these years have gone. Onto the pics...
